This guy is one of my favorites of the Series 27 Collectible Minifigures. I'm always in favor of making scary things cute (and thereby robbing them of their scare factor) and this bogeyman is a great example of that. Even his book takes the bump-in-the-night vibe and makes it silly, more playful than dire. The body has some excellent printing (alas, just on the front) that could be useful for gorilla or other beastly costumes, and the head has almost a tiki-mask shape.
The only problem I have with it is that the sheer size of the head means that it obscures a lot of the chest print and also can't turn at all. Still, that's a minor complaint given the excellence of the figure.
It's also worth mentioning the excellent Minifig Scan app (Android & Apple) to see what's inside the blind box, and it's been fantastic. I'd previously used the scanner made by Jay's Brickblog, which for a long time was the best option (way better than Bricksearch, which had tons of popups and then put a limit on the number you could scan before paying), but this new app really blows the others out of the water. As you can see from my screenshot (left half of above image) I was able to scan the QR code from a weird angle—even upside down works), and it pastes a picture of the figure on top. As you can see in the App Store screen (right half), you can scan multiple boxes at once and it'll show you what's in each one. This is seriously a game-changer when it comes to checking a bin full of boxes for that one special fig.
